Mexico bars immigrants from top jobs

Mexico bars immigrants from top jobs – Americas – MSNBC.com

After all the noise we hear from Mexico about the US stopping the unending flow of Illegal Immigrants flooding our borders, finally some of the drive-by leftstream media seems to be getting it.

As can be seen in reading the article linked above, Mexico is a hypocrite nation. While they demand the US cater to their people who Illegally enter our nation, they don’t even come close to giving any LEGAL immigrants to their nation an even shake.

Foreign-born Mexicans can’t hold seats in either house of the congress. They’re also banned from state legislatures, the Supreme Court and all governorships. Many states ban foreign-born Mexicans from spots on town councils. And Mexico’s Constitution reserves almost all federal posts, and any position in the military and merchant marine, for “native-born Mexicans.”

Encouraging tighter restrictions
Recently the Mexican government has gone even further. Since at least 2003, it has encouraged cities to ban non-natives from such local jobs as firefighters, police and judges.

Let America pass a similar ban on ILLEGAL immigrants and you can bet Mexico would be the first in line at the UN to begin bashing America over it. Even if illegals were to become Naturalized Citizens under the currently proposed non-amnesty amnesty program they are not barred from gainful employment with the government or other positions, unlike Mexico.

Other articles not linked to mention how the Mexican Military patrols their Southern Border to stem illegal crossings and immigration from Central America. But, the Mexican government has the audacity to complain because we wish to back-up our Border Patrol with National Guard troops, to the point of threatening to file suit against the US through Consulates if one ILLEGAL immigrant is detained by the National Guard.

This current flap over ILLEGAL immigration isn’t solely about poor people struggling to make a better life for themselves. Many do come here wanting to assimilate into our society and better support their families. Still more come here to drain our society of free benefits hoping to one day be able to take back the Southwestern United States to Mexico, which lost the land in the 1847 to 1848 Mexican-American War and who accepted millions of Dollars for it back then.

We are not a cold nation who turns our backs on anyone, even our enemies. Hisotry is replete with the examples of Americans dying for the liberation and feeding of others and in return, we are called Imperialistic and greedy. We are a benevolent nation but not an infinitely benevelot nation. We too have limits to our resources and wealth and if we don’t curb the pandemic flow of ILLEGAL Aliens flwoing through our pourous borders, we just may become a third world nation.

Recently we all saw a lot of energy expended by ILLEGAL Immigrants and their supporters. One has to wonder if they were to expend half that amount of energy towards ending the corruption within their own nation and providing jobs and benefits to their own citizens, would they even have the need to cross our borders by the droves?

Mexico is not a poor nation, not by any means. Because of the corruption there, the hard working poorer classes end up with nothing while their wealthy class ends up with it all. Just oil and tourism alone creates an abundance of wealth, not to mention NAFTA, which shifted a lot of American jobs South. Still, the profits aren’t making it to the workers so many decide to invade our nation and take advantage of our benevolence.

I have to think that if the working classes were to stand up to their wealthy class, be it by unionization, revolution or just demonstrations, to make their lives better in their own country, the support of the American people would stagger their imagination.

I guess it’s easier for them to make a spectacle of themselves in our nation than to seek improved conditions within their own.
