Sheehan Arrested

September 26, 2005
It would appear that grandstanding war protestor Cindy Sheehan finally got her wish and has been arrested, even if for a misdemeanor. Apparently, she and her willing band of useful idiots sat down on the walk in front of the White House and refused to move on when instructed to by Police. Left with no choice, they arrested her, handcuffed her and drove her off to the pokey, to chants of, "The Whole World Is Watching."
Let’s face it, she has wanted this ever since she became the Witch in the Ditch. I’m waiting for the leftstream media to run headlines stating, "GREIVING MOTHER ARRESTED BY BUSH!"
Personally, I think the others arrested with her should have been booked and Cindy should have been left sitting on the walk, pigeons shitting on her and all. Like the protesters of the 60s, they seek arrest to make headlines and keep their cause in front of the public and draw sympathy.
The new darling of the blame America first Stalinists apparently has a history of activism and by her own words, was opposed to this war, actually stating she holds no animosity towards whoever the "freedom fighter" was that actually shot her son. (Freedom fighter is her words, not mine.)
Sorry all, but this woman is a phoney. While she most likely was hurt by her sons death and has grieved, she holds no more Moral Authority because of it than the overwhelming majority of other parents who have lost offsping this war and support the war and President Bush. For some odd reason, though, our leftstream media gives them no voice.
Accoding to neighbors, she was supportive of the war and President Bush, until she was recruited by John "F"in Kerry for his failed campaign last year. She was flown around the country as a paid campaigner and since the campaign failed, has now taken the stance of the left’s premier peacenik and grieving Mom. I wonder why she is the only parent who has lost a child to this war that we ever hear of?
So, she got herself arrested and judging by the grin on her face as they carried her off, is quite pleased with herself for it. Sadly, all she is doing is trampling on her hero sons grave. This isn’t about Casey, never was. It’s all about Cindy Sheehan. She has distanced herself from her own family, seeking instead the notoriety of a celebrity and writing off her other 3 children. Her husband of 28 years and Casey’s father is divorcing her over this.
What this pitiful willing tool of the left has thrown away for 15 minutes of fame. I can only hope she wakes up soon and sees just how she is dishonoring a true American Hero, her Son, Casey Sheehan.

Did Cindy Sheehan Really Raise Casey?

September 25, 2005

There is currently an email being circulated claiming that Cindy Sheehan did not raise her son, Casey, but that he was raised by a step-mom and her first husband.

Another view of Cindy Sheehan

What is most interesting is that the press gives this little bunch of people who are protesting with Cindy so much air time without discussing Cindy’s background. This is a case of more press bias.

It has been pointed out on just a couple of media outlets that Cindy divorced her first husband and left her son with him to be raised while she became a political activist for the Democrat Party. She had very little to do with her son in his growing years.

She remarried. The 1st husband remarried. The original father raised the son with his new wife. They miss their son and mourn the loss of his life. They have stated that they are very proud of their son and that they agree with the stance of America in Iraq and on terror. They said that their son was eager to serve and to go fight the terrorists in Iraq. He volunteered. How many news stations carried their interview? Not many.

So the son dies in Iraq and then Cindy shows up to make a stink. She gets an audience with Bush. That was not enough. She goes to Crawford and demands another audience. How many news stations carry the ongoing saga of Cindy? Practically all of them. Cindy didn’t care about her son. She let another woman raise him. Cindy doesn’t care about the other soldiers in Iraq. Cindy cares about her liberal, feminist agenda and about using the death of her son to lobby against Republicans and Bush. And the press is helping her. Why?

Then a few days ago, Cindy’s 2nd husband filed for a divorce from Cindy. Cindy sounds like a feminist opportunist who did not have the sense of responsibility to even raise her own son. It looks like her 2nd husband is fed up with Cindy. We Middle Americans should be fed up with Cindy also. We should be fed up with the press. They manipulate us into their "group think" and into the responses that they want on their polls.

If this were true it would cast a dark shadow on Ms. Sheehan’s leftist protests. Let’s look and see if this in fact true

Casey Sheehan was born May 29, 1979 and died April 4, 2004.

His parents Patrick and Cindy, were married on April 30, 1977, and separated on June 1, 2005, Divorce pending. Neither has been married before and together, they have 4 children. Married 28 years and 2 months.

There is no truth in the email circulating that Cindy did not raise her son and he was raised by a step-mom. An interview conducted by Bill O’Reilly on the Fox News Channel could have possibly contributed to the mistaken belief that Cindy Sheehan’s son Casey had come from a previous marriage and was raised by her ex-husband. The 15 August 2005 segment of The O’Reilly Factor began with a brief statement about Ms. Sheehan’s having separated from her husband of 28 years over her "radicalism," but quickly switched into a reaction piece to a spot aired the previous week about Delores Kesterson, another mother who lost a son in Iraq and was now opposed to the U.S. military involvement. That reaction piece consisted of an inteview with Clay Kesterson, the father of Chief Warrant Officer Erik Kesterson (who was killed in Iraq on 15 November 2003), and his current wife, M.J. Kesterson., during which the couple stated that Erik had lived with and been raised by them (rather than his biological mother, Delores), and that Erik "was 180 degrees on the other side of the position with his mom on anything political."

It is also possible this lie was started by supporters of Ms. Sheehan to draw people into initially believing it and spreading it, only to reveal them later to be radicals grasping at anything to discredit her.

One thing to remember, a canard as this muddies the waters and gives this woman, a useful and willing idiot of the left, credibility. Just like with Hanoi Jane Fonda, salting claims discrediting them with easily proven lies and the truth tends to also be ignored along with the lie.

Ms. Sheehan has shown herself to be a willing tool of pro-Stalinist activists and no matter how patriotic she claims she is, her very words show the hatred she really has for America.

Sheehan has said; We are not waging a war on terror in this country. We’re waging a war of terror. The biggest terrorist in the world is George W. Bush.”

“I know that George Bush and his band of neo-cons and their neo-con agenda killed my son.” About the one who actually pulled the trigger that killed her son, she says, “The person who killed my son, I have no animosity for that person at all …. I have no animosity towards that person.”

America has been killing people …. since we first stepped on this continent, we have been responsible for death and destruction. I passed on that bullshit to my son and my son enlisted. I’m going all over the country telling moms: ‘This country is not worth dying for.’”

I would never have let him go and try and defend this morally repugnant system we have.”

I told Kristen if you have any actions and you need a ringleader, that I only live about an hour away. I’ll be here. If I can sleep on somebody’s floor, we can have this, we can camp out, do whatever we need.”

We are waging a nuclear war in Iraq right now. That country is contaminated. It will be contaminated for practically eternity now.”

"You know Iraq was no threat to the United States of America until we invaded. I mean they’re not even a threat to the United States of America. Iraq was not involved in 9-11, Iraq was not a terrorist state. But now that we have decimated the country, the borders are open, freedom fighters from other countries are going in, and they [American troops] have created more terrorism by going to an Islamic country, devastating the country and killing innocent people in that country. The terrorism is growing and people who never thought of being car bombers or suicide bombers are now doing it because they want the United States of America out of their country."

Sorry, but I don’t see the terrorists as “Freedom Fighters.” If they were, shouldn’t she be proud that Casey was killed by a “Freedom Fighter?”

Earlier, she said, "He just wanted to go over to fight for his country, and serve his country,"

Today, she says,I would never have let him go and try and defend this morally repugnant system we have.” She also says, “Casey was against it, but he felt it was his duty to go because he was in the Army.” “I begged Casey not to go. I told him I would take him to Canada. I told him I would run over him with a car, anything to get him not to go to that immoral war.”

It should be noted that Casey VOLUNTARILY enlisted, not once, but twice in the US Army. He VOLUNTARILY went on a rescue mission he did not have to go on, since he was a mechanic on Humvees, not a combat soldier. In the truest spirit of bravery and heroism, he died trying to protect and rescue his fellow soldiers. He is a HERO, not a victim of George Bush. The only victimization of Casey Sheehan is how his mother, Cindy Sheehan, stands on his grave to further her anti-American, anti-Bush, pro-terrorist agenda.

While she should be ashamed of her leftist actions, we need to refrain from falling for the lies spread about her and not spread them ourselves. We only end up giving her misactions undeserved credibility. There is ample evidence of her true intentions and how she dances on her heroic son’s grave without resorting to peppering these claims with any hint of mistruth. Let’s keep our side honest and let her reveal herself as what she really is, just another looney, blame America first, dishonest, leftist, useful idiot.

Who Started This War?

September 24, 2005

Ask any leftist and I’m sure you will hear that George Bush started it after 9-11. Some may reluctantly agree that invading Afghanistan was all right, even though they indicate they would rather have just arrested Osama Bin Ladin. Sorry, but how do you arrest someone who is entrenched in caves and difficult to find?

Starting back in the 1970s, radical Islamists declared war on the US and every time they attacked, we either turned a blind eye or treated it as simple crime, sometimes getting a conviction and sentence for the perpetrators.

In 1979, a group of Iranians attacked and seized the American Embassy in Tehran. Embassies are sovereign soil of the nation they represent. An attack on one is an act of war. Shortly after this, American began being attacked and kidnapped in the Middle East. Very little was done.

In April of 1983 a large vehicle packed with high explosives was driven into the US Embassy compound in Beirut, killing 63.

Six months later a large truck filled with over 2500 pounds of TNT crashed through the gate of the Marine Corps headquarters in Beirut killing 241 Marines. We withdrew our troops.

In December 1983, another truck loaded with explosives is driven into the US Embassy in Kuwait.

In September 1984, another van was driven into the gates of the US Embassy in Beirut.

In April 1985, the terrorism spread to Europe with a bomb exploding in a restaurant frequented by US soldiers in Madrid.

In August a car bomb is driven into the main gate of the US Air Force Base at Rhein-Main, Germany, killing two and wounding 20.

The same year, the Achille Lauro cruise ship is hijacked with one disabled American in a wheelchair, Leon Klinghofer, is singled out of the passenger list and executed.

Civilian airliners became the target when they bombed TWA Flight 840 in April of 1986 killing4 and Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988, killing 259.

January 1993, two CIA agents are shot and killed as they enter CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.

February 1993, a group of terrorists are arrested after their rented van explodes prematurely in the underground parking garage of the World Trade Center in New York City. Six people are killed and over 1000 are injured.

November 1995 another car bomb explodes at the US military complex in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia killing 7.

June of 1996, a truck bomb explodes 35 yards from the US military compound in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia destroying the Khobar Towers, a US Air Force barracks, killing 19 and injuring over 500.

The US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania are attacked simultaneously, killing 224.

In October 2000 the USS Cole, docked in Yemen, comes under attack from a small boat filled with explosives. 17 die.

Of course, we can’t forget September 11, 2001 when hijacked airliners were flown into the World trade Centers, Pentagon and crashed into a field in Pennsylvania, killing nearly 3,000 people, civilians.

You may have thought 9-11 was the beginning of this war, but it wasn’t. This war was declared on us long ago, we did not ask for it. But, we have it and much like WW2, it has been thrust on us and we must stay the course and fight it.

Saddam wasn’t directly involved in the 9-11 attacks, but there is ample evidence he was involved in terror. Iraq is but another battle in the overall War on Terror. Should we fail in Iraq, I fear the terrorist would be even more emboldened than they have become over that last decades and no one will be safe. As they have demonstrated time and again,

The anti-war left asks, "how many more have to die?" I ask, "how many more WILL die before you wake up and see this threat for the enemy to freedom and safety that they are?" This threat is real. These people are dangerousa nd evil and they cannot be appeased. This war was declared on us and even though I don’t think it’s been prosecuted perfectly, it must be prosecuted and must be won, for everyone’s sake.

Wake up people, put your hatred of Bush behind you and see that we are fighting a radical and emboldened enemy hell-bent, once again, on world domination. Given their way, there will be no freedom of religion, freedom of speech and women will lose any and all rights they have.

Wake up, pray for our troops and their mission.

Cut and Run, Again?

September 22, 2005

I guess the Liberal anti-war leftist wusses think they will soon be getting their way. I heard Phil Donahue, the loud-mouthed ignorant fool spokesman of the left, saying we were going to do just that anyways, in Iraq.

Of course, he phrases his words to make it sound like those of us who support our military’s mission and desire to see the Iraqi people strong enough to enjoy freedom, as we do, are just sending children off to war to be slaughtered. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Basic and Advanced Individual training in the military is designed to help all survive. Nothing is comparable, of course, but acting by instinct taught, instead of feelings and emotions, makes all the difference in the world. I weep at every death in this War, but at the same time, feel an enormous pride that our young people today are still willing to stand up and fight the good fight, for our freedoms and for the freedoms of those in Iraq and everywhere.

Unfortunately, we have a history of tucking tail and running away, ever since Viet Nam. We lost over 58,000 in that War and by running away; we invalidated the sacrifice these brave men and few women made. Not only that, we abandoned a people in need of help wishing only to have freedom. From the "re-education camps,” the Cambodian Killing Fields and the plight of the "Boat People," we left those depending on us to be slaughtered and die at the hands of an oppressive regime of Communists.

A little known fact and one still being denied by the anti-war left, is that they cost more lives in Viet Nam than they could imagine. Instead of negotiating surrender after his resounding defeat in the Tet of 1968 offensive, General Vo Nuygen Giap, the Commanding General of the North Vietnamese Army, saw our weakness in the streets of America and on our newscasts. He played to that weakness and held out until the misled public exerted enough pressure on the government to simply walk away. Even more shameful, as Saigon fell to the Communists, we sat in Ft. Bragg N.C. waiting the order from Congress that never came. We idly sat by and turned a blind eye to the Vietnamese people being overran and remained quiet as they began to be systematically murdered and left them to die as they desperately tried to flee in whatever boat they could find, praying some country would take them in. This is the true legacy of the anti-war leftist.

30 years later, we are again faced with a formidable enemy bent not only on dominating a country, but to ruthlessly impose a radical religious view on the entire world. Again, the anti-war left pacifists are crying like mad and demanding we turn our backs on the Iraqi and Afghani people as well. They cry it was never a terrorist state until we invaded it, but can’t explain the terrorist training camp at Salman Pak. They cry Bush lied about Weapons of Mass Destructions, but turn deaf when asked how come virtually the entire world said they were there, including the darlings of the leftists, Clinton and Kerry. They readily admit that there were Al Qaeda cells in every country, except Iraq. It doesn’t matter that Saddam Hussein had ties to Bin Ladin, even if not in regard to the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center attack. It doesn’t matter to them that Al Qaeda essentially declared war on us back in 1993 with the first World Trade Center bombing, the bombing of US Embassy’s in Africa or the attack on the USS Cole. They consider these isolated incidents, not acts of war.

This War on Terror is going to be bloody and long war, but what other choice to we have? History, from back in the 1972 Olympics, has shown us these radical Islamists cannot and will not be appeased. They are bent on establishing their radical view of an otherwise peaceful religion on the world. Were we should be able to rely on our stronger friends in Europe, who have had more terrorism on their shores than we have; we have been largely abandoned, save a few like Britain. Even there, the anti-war leftists cry out against the ones who would preserve their freedoms and support those who would take it away.

In our own country, we now have a woman with a history of leftist activism dancing on her dead sons grave being hailed as the new princess of the anti-war left. It doesn’t matter to her that her son volunteered, not once, but twice, and died a hero, trying to save others. Instead of honoring him, she acts like he was sent off against his will and murdered. For this, she is embraced as a grieving Mother instead of being shown as the charlatan she is.

What lies in store for the Iraqis if we abandon them before they have reached the ability to fend off the terrorists? Will the oppressive Zarghawi (sp) take over the government and once again, imprison the freedom seeking Iraqis back under another murderous regime like Saddams? Will we cut and run and let history repeat itself by allowing yet another fledgling democracy to be destroyed in it’s infancy by despots? I pray not, but if the leftists making so much noise in our streets again have their way, we will once again become the weak paper tiger China called us after our abandonment of Viet Nam.

Pray for our troops and their mission.

Conservative vs Liberal

September 22, 2005
How do I explain the differences?

As far as I’m concerned, Conservatives live their lives quietly, clinging to tried and true values for themselves mostly.

They look about and see the debauchery abounding, but still cling to their values while trying to avoid the crap from the left, much as they can.

It doesn’t bother us if lefties send their whole paycheck to the government for taxes.

We don’t really care if they wallow in drugs, as long as they leave us alone. We don’t care if someone is Gay or not, just keep your lifestyle choice to yourself.

We cry over aborted babies, but most avoid the clinics and try to instill in our children belief in reponsibility and abstinence to avoid the need for abortion.

It doesn’t bother us if you drive a gas guzzler or an economical tin box that won’t reach freeway speed, we just drive around you.

If you wish to cut down a tree or build a house, we will offer to help you and maybe even accept some firewood for our fireplaces.

If there is a law on the books we disagree with, we work within the system to repeal it. Marching in the street or civil disobedience doesn’t enter our mind. In the meantime, we obey that law.

Liberals, on the other hand, aren’t satisfied with living their life as they see fit. We must live our lives as they see fit also.

If we don’t approve of abortion, they will just take our daughters without our wishes for one, if she were to not heed our advice.

If we try to instill values in our children, they simply send CPS to let us know we are abusive and may lose our children.

If we want to build a house or cut down a tree, expect some moron to trespass and chain himself to that tree because some minute ridiculous bug may live in that tree.

All of us must drive some economical tin box that is unsafe at any speed, no one else is allowed to be successful, according to them. Either that, or ride a bicycle.

If we don’t approve of homosexuality, rest assured they will do their best to take our property from us to give to the Gay person, simply because we don’t share their ridiculous lifestyle choice.

Simply, Conservatives life, work hard and try to just survive. Liberals, live to make others work for them, taking our hard earned dollars for themselves and other lazy bastards and force us to adhere to their lifestyle and choices.

The choice is simple, to me. I’ll continue being a Conservative until the day I die and fight the Liberal lunacy everywhere I’m able.

All Things Right introduction

September 22, 2005
As my first entry, I think an initroduction is in order. My name is Lew Waters, also known as DakotaRed in some places. No, I don’t have red hair or anything like that, I own and drive a Flame Red Dodge Dakota that I intend to drive until the wheels fall off or I get too old to drive, whichever occurs first.
I consider myself a Republican, for right now. First off, I am a conservative and as I see more and more Republican Congressmen and women and Senators turn towards the mental disorder of Liberalism, I may be searching for a more representative party soon, possibly the Veterans Party.
For the most part, I support President Bush, although I feel he too could be more conservative in areas like spending and border control. Still, he stands heads above what the Democrats offered.
I personally feel Senator Kerry is a traitor and political opportunist. I worked with many others to see him defeated in the 2004 elections and if he tries to run again, I will work as hard as I can against him. In fact, I will work against any candidate that is a Liberal.
I do not think Liberals are Patriots wishing for a better America. I see them as misled sheeple seeking to make America over into the Union of Socialist States of America, a carbon copy of the failed Soviet Union.
I do not have any particular inside information on matters, but am blessed with a lot of common sense. I believe there is a superior being of some sort we call God. I do not adhere to any particular religious view as I see all religions as man made. For the most part, I trust the Bible, providing it has been properly translated and without a particular bias of the translators personal beliefs. I’m not interested in debating religion, each is entitled to their own.
With this space, I intened to post supportive views of President Bush, unless I disagree with him on something. You can also expect comments against liberalism and it’s supporters. I will also post supportive views of the War on Terror, including the War in Iraq. I am a Viet Nam Veteran and fully support our military. Other than giving me a perspective on war that most don’t have, being a Veteran grants me no more rights than anyone else has.
I welcome respectful discussion.
